Marijke Van Kets

As a member of the Belgian cinematographer society, S.B.C., Marijke Van Kets is an internationally acclaimed Director of Photography. Her body of work includes prize-winning feature films, commercials, video clips and her specialty is in stop motion animation films. Currently she is assistant professor in cinematography, 16 mm film and the art of light at ADM, NTU Singapore. She was awarded in 2013 the Alumni prize by the RITS, School of the Arts, Brussels for her contribution to the cultural field. Her current research is on the perception of cinematography and its influence on film language.
For the film “La Femme Papillon” (2003) directed by Virgini Boudin she developed a new digital standard, shooting with DSLR cameras for release on 35 mm print.
