Hor Ke Yan
Ke Yan is a Product designer with a background in Interior Design (SP) and had two years of working experience in the architecture and interior design fields.
Her exposure in interdisciplinary explorations have allowed her to look at a project beyond its classification and seek to merge the connection between user and environment to create a holistic experience.

Final Year Project(s)
Singapore is an island with limited natural resources, but its geographical advantage allows this tiny island to flourish a trade-oriented economy. In the process of transportation, wood pallet forms one of the key parts of the process chain that moves almost every product we consume. With limited local resources, wood pallet becomes the material consideration of this Final Year Project. Is there something that can be done to utilize this undervalued material? By tapping on to this question, a multi-purpose lamp inspired by the transit and passage nature of the wood pallets is intended to let people appreciate the secondary usage of under-utilized wood.
