BELLY GREEN at NTU ADM Portfolio

To enhance Singapore’s recognition in the green scene, I took the opportunity to introduce a new practice to reduce single use disposables waste. BELLY GREEN, a pilot sustainability program, encourages school campuses to use reusable takeaway containers. By adopting this system in NTU alone, we save 730,000 disposable containers from being incinerated annually.

The proposed infrastructure is based on qualitative and quantitative surveys and research from potential users of the system to obtain the highest satisfaction level. It factors in the importance of convenience, accessibility and intuition. Accompanied by the system, BELLY GREEN containers come with reusable utensils and integrated handles to reduce the use of disposables and plastic bags.

With initiative and peer to peer influence, BELLY GREEN aims to minimise unnecessary waste in our landfills and promotes an environmentally responsible lifestyle on campus.
