Government Policies

Singapore has grown over the years thanks to the policies by the government. With respect to the Population issue, the Singapore government has made many successful policies that help stop the “baby boomers” people from creating too much babies. According to data from Singstat, the total fertility rate in 1960 was 5.76 and the gross and net reproduction rate was 2.78 and 2.54 respectively. However, due to the policies implemented, the numbers dwindled over the years. Below is a graph I made using the data provided from Singstat depicting the rates over the years.
