Spread of IAS

How do they spread?

IAS spread through a local ecosystem through the processes of naturalization and invasion. Naturalization begins when the established IAS starts to reproduce and spread in the local ecosystem, eventually becoming part of the flora and fauna in the local habitat. Invasions begin when these established and naturalized IAS spread uncontrollably and compete with native species for food and habitat, eventually resulting in the loss of biodiversity in the local ecosystem.
