As a documentary fanatic, I have encountered many films which propagate a vegetarian lifestyle. In turn, as an animal lover, and a bacon-lover, I experience quite a daily dilemma. Meanwhile, I have also become increasingly exposed to the benefits of vegetarianism when it comes to the environment. I decided to discuss vegetarianism and conservation not only because I needed to come up with an interesting topic for a blog in my Conservation Psychology class, but because I myself, wanted to systematically gather information to see if converting to a vegetarian diet was really worth giving up the steak and gravy. Along with possibly using this blog as a source for your own lifestyle choices, I am hoping that the information I have gathered can help you (the reader) simply have an awareness of the impacts of the meat industry.
