WHAT IS VEGETARIANISM?

Vegetarianism is the dietary practice of abstaining from the consumption of meat products. There are several types of vegetarians. Some examples include vegan-vegetarians, who exclusively consume plant foods, and lacto-ovo vegetarians, who include eggs and dairy in their daily diet. No matter the type of vegetarian lifestyle one may adopt, the general motivational factors behind vegetarianism tends to stem from either personal health concerns,  the denouncement of individual consumerism in the meat industry, religious beliefs, or a combination of the three.
