Toiletries giant, Dove has been promoting natural beauty since 2004.  Starting with the vision of  letting beauty be a source of confidence instead of anxiety, “Campaign for Real Beauty” was created in September 2004. In 2010, Dove set out a new vision with The Dove Movement for Self Esteem. As part of The Dove Movement for Self Esteem, Dove introduced “Women Who Should be Famous” in 2012. It focuses on celebrating real beauty and getting strong women to mentor their next generations.

Women Who Should be Famous introduced “real-women” who have succeeded in their particular fields. They honour strong female role models and hope to empower young girls to build strong self esteems. In line with this focus on influencing the future generation in a positive way, Severn Cullis-Suzuki was roped in as one of the honoured female role models. At the Women Who Should be Famous event, Cullis-Suzuki shared her environmental message and experience of speaking at Rio 1992, dubbing it as the most powerful thing she has done in her life. She also participated in an inspiring discussion with young girls and women who attended the event, making herself a Real-women girls could look up to.
