Severn Cullis-Suzuki is a Canadian environmental activist. When she was twelve, she made an impactful speech at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro. Her speech was recorded and the video- The Girl Who Silenced the World for 6 Minutes became viral. That speech propelled her to the world stage and Cullis-Suzuki continued to be passionate about raising awareness of environmental issues. She is famous for being the daughter of David Suzuki, a renowned environmentalist. Cullis-Suzuki graduated from Yale University in 2002 with a B.S in ecology and evolutionary biology. She is now married with two sons and still  actively involved in the environment scene.
