The library recently hosted an exhibition put up by six groups of students from H4014: A Global History of Death. They had spent a few months last year filming short documentaries on the topic of death under the guidance of their instructor, A/P Chen Song-Chuan. The result of their efforts was a mini exhibition at HSS Library comprising six films which hope to inspire you to look at death from various angles. Since it was put up, the exhibition attracted quite a number of curious stares from library users. It also prompted one of our writers-in-residence, Mr Desmond Kon, to co-exhibit copies of his fiction book titled “Ars Moriendi: Writings on the Art of Dying” (http://www.squirclelinepress.org/anthologies.html) which saw a good pick-up rate. The films can be viewed via YouTube at http://bit.ly/1Q8zHku.
