These materials are available in ACRC:

 

Open Shelf Collection

The Open Shelf Collection comprises of new and popular materials on advertising, broadcasting, communication research, information studies, journalism, knowledge management, library science, media law and ethics, public relations, and related topics.

Due to space constraint, a portion of the communication and information materials, which are older and less used, is housed in Business Library. Do check the Library Catalogue for exact location of materials needed.

Some print journals (current and bound) are housed in Lee Wee Nam Library.

Reserves Collection

Textbooks and readings reserved by lecturers for specific courses are placed in the Reserves Collection. They have a location status of Asian Com Resource Centre, Reserve Collection in the Library Catalogue.

These materials are kept near the Service Desk and may be borrowed for 2 hours. They are easily identified by a little red dot on the book spine.

Audio-Visual Collection

AV materials reserved by lecturers for specific courses are available in ACRC. They may be borrowed for 4 hours for on-site viewing within ACRC. Common formats include DVD, VCD and VHS. A larger AV collection is housed in Business Library.

Special Collections

AMIC Conference Proceedings & Research Reports
The Asian Media and Information Communication Centre (AMIC) is a charity-registered organisation established in 1971, with the support of the Singapore Government and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung of Germany.

Conference proceedings and research reports, produced by AMIC, are available at ACRC. However, less-used materials may have been archived. Please approach the Service Desk if you need assistance to access them.

Theses & Dissertations
Electronic copies of master theses and doctoral dissertations are available at DR-NTU (Digital Repository – NTU).

Final Year Projects (FYPs)
FYP reports  are available at DR-NTU (Digital Repository – NTU). Interesting creative works (such as videos, press kits, photo journals and feature writings) are available at ACRC and progressively added to DR-NTU. To acess them, enquire at the Service Desk.

Professional Internship (PI) Reports
Outstanding PI reports of WKWSCI which have been approved by internship organizations for release can be found at DR-NTU (Digital Repository – NTU). A handful are selected and added each year.

Examination Papers
Past examination papers can be accessed via http://www.ntu.edu.sg/library/collections/Pages/ExamPapers.aspx. 

Leisure Reading Materials
Newspapers and current affairs periodicals such as The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao, Berita Harian, The New Paper, Today, Wall Street Journal (Asia), International Herald Tribune, The Economist and Time are available at ACRC.
