A New Legal News Service: Singapore Law Watch

Mar 11th, 2008 | By Han Lee Yen | Category: Business Law

The Honourable the Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong announced the official commencement of a new legal news service, the Singapore Law Watch (“SLW”), at the Opening of the Legal Year on Saturday, 5 January 2008. SLW is developed by the Singapore Academy of Law to provide a free “one-stop” legal news service for the legal community in Singapore, and a resource for overseas lawyers who are interested in timely notifications of changes to our legal landscape. The SLW will be updated every weekday and will bring to all readers the most current information including the latest legislative changes, new Supreme Court judgments, current legal news in the media, as well as articles and commentaries on the impact of new developments. Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds are also provided to allow users to download information directly onto their mobile devices and desktop computers.

SLW can be accessed via the following links:

Prior to joining NTU Library, I had been teaching English Language and Literature and Communication for several years, including 2 years at a private university in the countryside of Japan, in Niigata (home of the Albirex Niigata Football Club). I enjoy reading (surprise!), sports (spectator) and outdoor pursuits (hiking and scuba diving).
