Prior to joining NTU Library, I had been teaching English Language and Literature and Communication for several years, including 2 years at a private university in the countryside of Japan, in Niigata (home of the Albirex Niigata Football Club). I enjoy reading (surprise!), sports (spectator) and outdoor pursuits (hiking and scuba diving).

LexisNexis has introduced a free legal search engine – LexisWeb, available at www.lexisweb.com. Currently in Beta form, LexisWeb allows users to search for legal resources on the Web with content validated by the LexisNexis editorial staff. Content coverage includes:
• Governmental agency information (federal, state, local)
• Informal commentary on legal issues (e.g., blogs specifically for lawyers and legal professionals)
• General Web information about legal topics
Search results will return documents from LexisNexis selected sources available on the Web, as well as LexisNexis Recommended Sources available through Lexis.com. These are categorised automatically and allows users to narrow their search by filtering by Legal Topics, Citations, Legal Terms, Jurisdiction, Practice Area, Content Type, Source or File format.
Those who are interested in doing more in-depth legal research can access Lexis.com or LexisNexis Academic through the library’s subscription to retrieve law reviews, case law, as well as Shepard’s® Citations.
All NTU Alumni can access four databases remotely using their alumni email account.
