The Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Programme, International Singapore (SIS) is currently holding an exhibition entitled ‘Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Programme’. The exhibition will run from 27th Jun to 31st Jul at Lee Wee Nam Library.
SIS is the organizing body for the annual Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Programme in Singapore. The programme brings together more than 300 youth from Japan and ASEAN countries on board the Nippon Maru ship. It aims to foster friendship and greater understanding among the youth in the region. Youth will live on board the ship for over 40 days and have cultural exchanges, discussions, community service and homestay at various ports-of-call.
The purpose of the exhibition is to raise awareness of the programme among youth in Singapore. The exhibition features posters, costumes, as well as trip memorabilia.

I hope that through the exhibit, more youth in Singapore will be enticed to join the Program.
It’s been 21 years since I joined the Program (as AYL) and the SSEAYP spirit still lives on…My batchmates in ASEAN and I still get in touch and every time we re-connect, it seems that time did not pass at all.
