SBS Advanced Research Seminar aims to take you through the literature review process. The process is useful in your Final Year Project as it helps you to:

1) Explore the works of other researchers
2) Look at relevant works in your research area
3) Identify important variables from other studies
4) Identify gaps, misconceptions and contradictions
5) Assist in formulating your research design

We would also be conducting a full EndNote workshop to help you manage your references. EndNote is a software that makes your research easy. With EndNote, you can create a list of references by exporting them from databases for writing your final year projects. You can start citing while you write your reports and instantly EndNote generates and formats your references to your choice of citation styles (i.e. APA, MLA, etc.).

You will also gain hands-on experience using Web of Science and Scopus to source for journals/articles with their corresponding impact factor relevant to your research area.
