The NTU Library has recently subscribed and implemented the bX Recommender Service on our ezSearch system. It is part of our effort to make the system more beneficial to our users and to encourage sharing of useful references found in our subscribed resources with NTU peers or colleagues in the same area of research.
The bX Recommender is a new service that taps into the power of the networked scholarly community to generate recommendations based on article usage.
For example, on Amazon, users can view recommendations for books and other items sold on the site. Similarly, the bX Recommender Service provides recommendations for scholarly journal articles.
The steps to access the bX Recommender Service are as follows:
1. Login to ezSearch at http://ezsearch.ntu.edu.sg.
2. Do a QuickSearch by entering your search terms.
3. Click on the SFX icon besides an article that you are interested in the list of search results returned.
4. If there are recommendations for that article, you would be able to view them.
