Launched in 2010, The Noun Project is an online catalog of downloadable icons and symbols submitted by designers around the world. Users may search for png or editable svg files of the icons.

User registration or Facebook login is required. Under Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution licence (CC BY 3.0 US), users can share and adapt the content for any purpose. To use the icons for free, citation is required by using the following format: “Icon name” by Creator Name, from the Noun Project.
