Crush at NTU ADM Portfolio

This FYP is an activation. It is a call to movement. CRUSH is a monthly women’s climbing magazine publication that was created to highlight and celebrate the key women making breakthroughs in rock climbing. This publication is an arena where sports meets editorial. Marrying movement into the realm of visual communication, CRUSH seeks to empower, educate and inspire the reader through the female rock climbing community. This magazine is the result of thorough studies of existing sports publications that are not celebrating our female athletes enough. Through design, layout, photography and a shift in content focus, CRUSH is aimed at challenging the modern day portrayals of strong women, to not haphazardly classify women into various stereotyped categories but to push forth a new-age woman who can do all things.

Eyes on Fire at NTU ADM Portfolio

Eyes on Fire (2014)

Art inspired after nature creates a realm. another dimension. Through the const rains of the tall and narrow portal, the painting brings you to a universe parallel to the one we inhabit. This place is on explosion of energy represented by the gloss pieces, fiery elements. flesh, breath, chakra; this place is free and surrendered.

Inspired after Charles Darwin’s Galapagos adventure and volcano visits I have created patterns from modelling nature-formed rocks, which have been melded together by heat. lava, weathering, time. These elements may seem stationary but upon closer inspection, you may find life forms and movement. I hope that this created universe brings you immense joy, peace, and resolution.
