A ‘Fishy’ Business (2014)
Description
Time space was severely compressed at this location. Everything was happening and completing in very short time. The weighing process, the negotiation between the fishermen and the fishmongers could be completed within a minute. All I could do was to develop my final image through my quick sketches. To retain the energetic nature of the activity, I worked very broadly in this large format watercolour. It allowed me to fully exert freer brushworks.
