Dracula in Summer (2015)
Description
This short animated teaser is a preliminary outcome of the research project: “Ronald Searle reinvented and analyzed in the context of contemporary animation and new animation tools development for 2D production”.
Inspired by the work of illustrator cartoonist Ronald Searle (1920-2011), this art work aims to challenge and revisit current practices in traditional animation. The short video is a first step into the integration of multiple different technologies into a cohesive animation that take full advantage of current technologies 2D and 3D alike; bringing to a full realization a more graphic and personal look into 2D animation.
The prints will explain some of the technological uniqueness and also display some personal artwork created for the ongoing preproduction.
