Intersecting Histories. Contemporary Turns in Southeast Asian Art marks the grand opening exhibition of the ADM Gallery, and inaugurates it as a significant exhibition centre for Southeast Asian and international art, media and design.
This publication consists of essays by T.K. Sabapathy, Yvonne Low, Seng Yu Jin, Aminudin TH Siregar and Adele Tan in which topics related to appraising the contemporary in Southeast Asian art, featured in this exhibition and beyond, are discussed along historical perspectives. It marks an important contribution to Southeast Asian art historiography.
