Welcome to the BabyLINC Lab!

our interest

We are interested in how babies learn from their social partners and in the development of early executive function skills, such as memory, mental flexibility and self-control.

In our projects, we concurrently measure brain and heart signals, using EEG and ECG, when babies and mothers interact with each other as they complete various tasks

EEG

"Electroencephalography"

It is a non-invasive, widely used technique for measuring children’s brain activity. EEG taps into this form of communication between different regions of the brain by measuring these existing signals, without adding or subtracting any electrical activity.
