3D printing is developing fast worldwide, moving from the labs, then to the industry and (soon) to homes. Tapping on the trend, Honda recently released 3D printing files for a handful of vehicle models based on Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. Through the site, Honda 3D Archives, Honda offers a simulated experience to communicate their approaches and thoughts toward the “art of manufacturing”.

Viewers may download these 3D files from the site, load them using 3D viewer or Stereolithography (STL) viewer apps, such as Adobe Photoshop CC, Windows 8 3D Builder and MeshMixer, modify and print them using a 3D printer.
