What Is It About
NTU PEAK is an intensive Leadership Development Programme that the Career & Attachment Office (CAO) co-designs with industry partners to develop high potential NTU students into the trailblazing leaders of tomorrow, equipped with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a disruptive new world, where adaptability and resilience are essential qualities for success.
Anchored on Strengths Leadership and Design Thinking principles, NTU PEAK allows students to work collaboratively with peers from different disciplines to solve real-world business challenges and be mentored by experienced industry practitioners. Through this programme, our students are challenged to hone their leadership skills, collaborate with like-minded industry leaders, think critically of issues and be agile to changes.
Representing the best from each discipline – Business, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering and Science, NTU PEAK students attend intensive training, actively engage mentors and stakeholders; and are empowered to ideate user-centric solutions that add value and make a difference to the community. As Sustainability and Technology challenges are impacting more and more companies, NTU PEAK has also re-invented itself with a new focus on Sustainability and Technology.

I really enjoyed NTU PEAK. I’m inspired by students’ ideas and by how, in one month, they drilled down the issues and understood the problems, and came up with creative solutions. I put myself into the shoes of investors and will definitely buy into their solutions as they are convincing. I’m impressed that they have come together to work collaboratively as efficient teams, even when they do not each other before this to deliver high quality work.

It’s always surprising to see the diversity of thought and perspectives that have been put to the challenges for the students. I’m seeing quite a depth of structure and systematic approach in their proposals so it’s very encouraging to see all that diversity being harnessed now into something that can be really practical.

NTU PEAK has been an eye-opening and thrilling journey. From working together with brand-new teammates to tackle a real-life business problem to presenting in front of a panel of C-Suites, NTU PEAK provides endless opportunities to grow and learn.
Before applying for NTU PEAK, I had considered consulting as possible job prospect but had worries that I would not be selected because I had no experience, nor did I have the technical knowledge. Nonetheless, I gave it my best shot and learnt from my teammates and mentor throughout the journey. I got to experience consulting first hand, through the teamwork and extensive research that we did for our business problem. Moreover, I got to exercise my relationship building skills when we spoke to our interviewees. NTU PEAK also built my confidence, especially through the final presentation for the panel of C-Suite judges. The supportive environment and encouraging remarks from the judges really boosted my confidence in my presentation skills.

The experience has NTU PEAK enhanced my confidence to develop entrepreneurial solutions to industry problems such as green finance and decarbonisation. Working with our mentor from Simon Kucher & Partners gave us insights into the consultancy scene, and detailed industry challenges that banks face in encouraging decarbonisation.
Throughout this fruitful month, I’ve learned alongside peers of different disciplines and perspectives, and how each person can contribute their strengths to their team. I’ve also had the opportunity to network with professionals from various industries, which has opened doors to potential future collaborations and partnerships. The programme’s emphasis on experiential learning has allowed me to put theory into practice, and I’ve gained practical skills such as design thinking and project management that will serve me well in my future endeavors. Overall, the NTU PEAK programme has provided me with invaluable experiences and skills that have not only enhanced my personal development but also equipped me with the tools to make a meaningful impact in my chosen field.
Cohesive, short, and impactful, NTU PEAK is one of the best leadership developmental programmes I’ve attended and gained a lot of industry and personal development insights through the workshops and programme design.

NTU PEAK has been an eye-opening learning experience. It was refreshing to work in a cross-disciplinary team because of the diversity of ideas, which helped us to develop a good pitch. Furthermore, the mentorship from company leaders challenged our thoughts and allowed us to gain a deeper understanding on sustainability in the real-world business context. There was so much to learn from all the people that I have met, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to participate in this program. Overall, this experience has motivated me to continue to improve my design thinking and leadership skills, be confident in voicing out my opinions, and to delve deeper into topics on sustainability.
