Group 18 Video 2 – Antacids (Chemical Concept)

An antacid is a substance which neutralizes stomach acidity, which in turn relieves heartburn, indigestion or stomach upset. They are bases that neutralize the excess acids to give salt and water, thus lowering the pH of gastric juices.
