Group 30 Video 1 – Chemical Concepts

Solubility is a chemical property referring to the ability for a given substance (solute) to dissolve in a solvent. There are two types of solvents; polar and non-polar. Water, a polar solvent, is capable of dissolving a variety of different substances, which is why it’s the closest to a universal solvent.
