Polymer can be formed either by addition or condensation of monomers. Polyethylene is one of the commonly used plastic in the world. Ethylene, the monomer of polyethylene, is produce by steam cracking in the petrol chemical industry. In the presence of catalyst, polymerization of ethylene can occur to form polyethylene.
