Consumption of bad fats; saturated and trans fat, increases the level of cholesterol and the risk of heart diseases. Good fats; polyunsaturated and monounsaturated, on the other hand, lowers disease risk as good fats promotes good cholesterol; high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, which protects against heart disease by removing bad cholesterol; low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, out of your blood and prevent the building up in your arteries.
