IGAKU is a health technology social enterprise founded in 2019 with a mission of improving healthcare accessibility in remote regions. The team hope to achieve this by leveraging on technology such as a telemedicine platform and an artificial intelligence assistive diagnostic tool being developed in-house.

Patients will be able to have video consultations with registered doctors in Jakarta in order to better assess their conditions. The doctors will also have access to an assistive diagnostic tool to help them better interpret images sent over by the patients. If the patient’s condition is assessed to require more advanced medical treatment, IGAKU can also help to settle the patients’ travel requirements.

IGAKU is currently targeting Indonesia as its first major target market due to its numerous remote regions like Sumba and Nusa Tenggara Timur, which will prove useful in validating the various technological applications IGAKU is developing.

As of December 2020, IGAKU is working closely with a few non-profit organisations based in Indonesia to bring its solutions to patients under their care. In addition, the team have also begun releasing more webinars as part of the efforts to raise more awareness of IGAKU.
