they say a circle is
the symbol of perfection
yet we are taught to think
we can never draw
a perfect circle

they say full circle means
coming back to
where you started
yet do we ever know or remember
where we started?

i would like to think that is why
two zeros make an infinity
the harmony of nothingness
from which eternity springs
because forever
is a place that
neither begins nor
ends

and since things do not begin
can they ever end?

you say you don’t want endings
but what you really mean is,
you just want a happy ending

let me tell you,
there is no happy ending
because
there is never really an ending
to begin with
