Once the motor casing had finished 3D printing, we put the motor inside and programmed it to perform the fan action.
Then I painted the motor casing green to match the skirt colour (and added covers over the screws), and then made a belt to hold it in place at the waist.
To keep the power bank in place I made a little case for it to sit on an elastic band around the waist too.
I then cut out a hole in the shoulder area of the top for the proximity sensor to sit and therefore sense when people come close to the garments. It’s also somewhat hidden by the feathers so the viewers don’t anticipate the movement coming.
