Researching into the possible textures for the garment, I have looked into tortoise shells and the possible geometry/origami shapes I could develop, from them.

The function of a tortoise shells is to protect. Hence the fundamental function of my garment was derived from that concept, revolving around a product garment that could protect a person. 

After looking into possible shapes, I explored more on the functions of the product. I stumbled upon a dry bag and was intrigued by its waterproof quality. From this, I have derived a garment that could be transformed into something of a similar result.
