So this is a technique to make skirts “floof” roundly at the ends; using fishing lines(or nylon strings)! Usually fishing lines come in a spool, which is convenient because you dont have to twirl them yourself, unless you prefer smaller curls.
Set your sewing machine to zig-zag pattern, with the widest gap. You then need to roll the cloth around the fishing string and sew it. Watch the video below!
I used another footer, and I probably used it wrongly, but it did help me to keep the sewing straight and makes it easier to sew since the fishing line and rolled chiffon ends does not come off as much as the normal footer!
