Knitting is a method by which thread or yarn is used to create a cloth. Knitted fabric consists of a number of consecutive rows of loops, called stitches. As each row progresses, a new loop is pulled through an existing loop. The active stitches are
held on a needle until another loop can be passed through them. This process eventually results in a fabric, often used for garments. Knitting may be done by hand or by machine. There exist numerous styles and methods of hand knitting.
MATERIALS:
Knitting needles
Yarn
Metal Wires
METHOD:
1. First, cast on by making slip knots on needle A. Insert the needle into the loop and draw up the yarn from the free end to make a loop on the needle. Repeat until you form 10 loops on needle A
2. Insert needle B into the loops from the back and pull the yarn and loop inbetween the 2 needles. Using needle B, draw up the yarn and transfer the loop to Needle B. Repeat until all the loops are transfered to needle B
3. Repeat the step 2 with needle a and repeat the process till the end
4. To bind off, you purl the first two stitches and now insert needle B into the first stitch on needle A, draw it up and over the second stitch and complete off the needle. Repeat until all the stitches are bound off
