7 ~ Field Trip: The Magic Touch

On 29 September 2018, we went for a field trip to Touch & Print at Waterloo Centre #03-25.

It was my first trip to a printing company. Touch & Print offers wide range of printing services and other kind of case-by-case project as well. Firstly, we learnt about the basic theory such as colour theory (CMYK vs RGG, pantone colours) and theory of printing (laser, inkjet and offset printing). After that, the sharer proceed on demonstrating to us some heat transfer process. The sharer was also a very generous man and he also shared to us https://www.themagictouch.com.sg where we can watch the tutorial on the different technique of printing.

It was an eye-opening experience and what I amazed me the most is the different possibilities that printing process (especially heat transfer) offer. Moreover, the real industry show that we need to be flexible and cater to the different demand and projects. From the projects samples done by Touch & Print i realised that there are a lot of opportunity in printing, more than merely for shirt or posters.
