What is this technique?
Appliqué is ornamental needlework in which pieces of fabric in different shapes and patterns are sewn or stuck onto a larger piece to form a picture or pattern.
Reflections:
I had some trouble with this method as I wanted to sew fabrics that were rounder in shape but it was not as easy to maneuver the fabric on the sewing machine. It took some practice before I was able to get the hang of it. But I really like the effect of mashing up fabrics of different textures and colours allowing me to create vibrant pieces.
