Innovative Overseas Adventure for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Course Background

Entrepreneurship is the driving force of national development; Innovation is the soul for social progress. Entrepreneurial innovation capability is a crucial personal soft power and the key for career success.

Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre, combined with Nanyang Technological University of Singapore (NTU)’s powerful engineering and business advantage, using the latest international teaching philosophy proudly presents “Innovative Overseas Adventure for the Aspiring Entrepreneurs”.

Course organisation

The span of this course is two weeks. Pivoted at an angle of developing entrepreneurial capabilities, the course helps students to understand the whole process of running an enterprise from business idea generation to exiting strategies. Students will have an overall in depth understanding and also by taught step by step the various considerations when developing an enterprise. At the end of the study, students will complete a small business plan and deliver a team presentation which will be reviewed by experts.

Apart from classroom learning, the course also includes outward bound training, institutional visits, corporate visits, mini Business Plan Competition and curriculum counseling.

During the course, participants will break into groups and each group will have 2 outstanding local NTU students as “Study Buddy”
Outward Bound training will be arranged on Singapore’s offshore island – Pulau Ubin. Through a variety of specially designed physical challenges on IQ and EQ, students get to experience the ups and downs of the entrepreneurial process and be prepared mentality for the problems one will encounter in his entrepreneurship journey.
Participants will get to network and interact with young entrepreneurs in Singapore and other NTU students to build friendship ties.
Students will have the opportunity to explore their favourite professions in world’s elite university, NTU.
At the same time, students will also have exposure to the innovative and entrepreneurial culture in Singapore.
