what is NTU Internship?

Credit-bearing internship

All undergraduates in NTU are required to undertake a full-time practical industrial attachment as part of their undergraduate academic requirements. The duration of the internship ranges from 10 weeks to 24 weeks long

More about credit-bearing

The objectives of the internship programmes are to complement  NTU’s teaching & training or/and to broaden the work applications of these students by the time they graduate, as well as to instill in them the right kind of work attitude and work professionalism. In so doing,  they become more  work-ready, work -effective and productive as effective contributors to the respective industry organisations.

Overseas Internship

Today’s globalised economic climate requires talent who are equipped with a global mindset and cultural intelligence. To nurture our students to be a global citizen, NTU strives to develop students’ global readiness through exposure in overseas internship opportunities in many countries across the world in addition to their academic courses.

More about overseas internship

Apart from contributing to the companies with their meaningful work effort during internship, our overseas interns can also be trained and evaluated through real work involvement. Upon graduation, they can be considered full-time hire in their Singapore or international offices. It is through such arrangement that our industry partners can collaborate with NTU to develop their global talent pipelines.

postgraduate internship

Postgraduate internship aims to facilitate experiential learning of graduate students, translate research outcomes, and equip students with a professional work attitude and ethics. Through the internship, the students can broaden the domain of expertise and would learn to apply their research capability in an industrial or corporate institution. Furthermore, the internship programme could allow students to network with potential industry partners and path their way for future job opportunities.

non-credit bearing internship

NTU talents are encouraged to take on multiple attachments to gain broader experience in different jobs before graduation. Such attachments happen in the academic off-cycle period and on a student’s personal basis. Organisations interested in providing such opportunities, may submit such opportunities via NTU CareerAxis portal.
