WEE Soon Keong, PhD
Research Fellow
About Soon Keong
Soon Keong is a Research Fellow studying the antimicrobial resistance of Acinetobacter spp. in the host and environment. He has also been involved in molecular point-of-care diagnostics studies and overseas community field trips to Davao, Philippines. Beyond science, he is deeply passionate about technology education as well as cross- disciplinary learning and is the Co-Founder of Nullspace Centre for Robotics Learning. He contributes back to his Alma Mater by serving as Chairman of Anglican High School Alumni Association. In his free time, he enjoys photography, travelling and having a good cup of tea. Mark CHAN Boon Pho
PhD Candidate
About Mark
Mark is a final year PhD candidate studying the antimicrobial resistance and ecology of Burkholderia species in the environment. He obtained his BBiomedSci(Hons) from the University of Queensland where he studied the role of population sizes on multi-drug resistance evolution in Acinetobacters. He has led his school’s swimming club as President and is actively involved in youth mentorship. Outside of the laboratory, he enjoys fishing, golfing and playing his guitar. He has a unique talent of identifying between green, yellow and red bell peppers in a blinded taste test. He has previously served as the Secretary of LKCMedicine Graduate Students’ Club.
