Microbial Genomics
Our projects include,
- Isolating and characterising environmental microorganisms to understand their prevalence, diversity and ecotypes
- Studying the origins and evolution of antimicrobial resistance genes
- Developing rapid point-of-care diagnostics for detection of pathogens in low resource settings
- Developing lab automation pipelines for high throughput screening and application of microbiological and genomics workflow
