We live in a world increasingly driven by data. The amount of data that’s being created and stored on a global level is almost inconceivable, and it just keeps growing. Experts have already made various predictions for disruptive technology in 2017, and they agree on one thing: big data will become even more sophisticated and dynamic.

But it’s not the amount of data that’s important. It is what organisations do with the data that matters. With tools becoming more accessible and streamlined, yet more sophisticated and capable, what does Big Data mean for Sustainability? Can big data help us better manage sustainability or aim at a bigger sustainability impact?
