Boustead Singapore subsidiary Esri Singapore has launched a start-up programme for helping emerging businesses develop sustainable solutions by equipping them with sophisticated location analytics capabilities.

The programme, introduced in the United States in 2012, has benefited hundreds of start-ups all over the world.

“Through this programme, we look forward to play a part in the development of sustainable smart nation solutions that address real-world challenges in our communities,” said Esri Singapore chief executive officer Thomas Pramotedham.

In Singapore, the first start-up to benefit from the programme is Neuron Mobility, which launched its shared-use mobility system in June. Neuron Mobility founder, Zachary Wang, said that this program provided the firm with a full-suite software platform and professional support that a start-up typically would not be able to afford.

Following Neuron Mobility, Esri plans to have 10 on board by the end of the programme’s first year.
