Entrepreneurship is a hip word these days, with more young people even taking the plunge to start their own business as soon as they leave school. As a result, more universities in Singapore are introducing modules to help aspiring student entrepreneurs build up their expertise.
In the same wave, social enterprises are sprouting in the enterpreneurship space. Just like traditional for-profit companies, social enterprises aim to be financially profitable too. However, what sets social enterprises apart is that their business and business models are designed to achieve a social mission. These missions could range from a myraid of issues such as the rapidly ageing population, food wastage and climate change, just to name a few.
Entrepreneurship For Good aims to explore some of these social enterprises and how they benefit the society, in addition to be financially sustainable.
