Social Hackathon

7 December 2017

Mapletree Business City, 20 Pasir Panjang Road, #03-22/24, Singapore 117439

Migrant workers have played an important role in Singapore’s progress. They have built our homes, cleaned our streets, served in our factories and taken care of our children. Despite these contributions, migrant workers face many problems and stigmatisation.

SDI Academy, a social enterprise which aims to empower migrants and refugees by giving them a voice and the tools they need to make a difference, will be organising a Social Hackathon to tap onto the resourcefulness and creativity of NTU students to devise solutions through three key themes – namely (1) re-imagining education; (2) effective outreach; and (3) social inclusion.

  • When: 8-10 December 2017
  • Where: Mapletree Business City (20 Pasir Panjang Road, #03-22/24, Singapore 117439)
  • Cost: Free (prior registration is necessary)
