In conjunction with World Environment Day, The [Not-So] Convenience Store aims to raise awareness about the world’s growing waste problem which has snowballed to over 2 billion tons a year.

Held in the new Temasek Shophouse, a co-working space to encourage groups to collaborate and create social impact, subverts the conventions of a typical convenience store by presenting sustainable alternatives to our everyday seemingly-convenient products. In doing so, the store hopes to highlight how our culture of convenience – our high dependence on single-use plastics, low recycling and reuse habits and constant desire for new electronic gadgets – is contributing to global warming and climate change.

When: 7 June – 31 July 2019, 8.30 am – 9.00 pm (weekdays) and 11.00 am – 5.00 pm (weekends and public holidays)
