Youth for the Environment Day (YED) is a key platform to engage the youth to champion environmental ownership by leading, organising and participating in programmes to show their passion and commitment towards global and local environmental issues.
You can start by taking simple actions to reduce disposables and food waste today! Let us adopt zero waste lifestyle habits together as we work “Towards a Zero Waste Nation”.
YED 2020 will go virtual this year, and it opens with a Mothership video interview with Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources – watch to see what are some of the reusable items that helped Minister adopt a zero waste lifestyle!
Online content will be featured throughout the campaign by SGAG, Tik Tok, Millennials of Singapore, Mothership, The Smart Local and Vulcan Post. There will also be a “7-Day Challenge” featuring artiste Joanne Peh, MediaCorp artiste Desmond Tan, MediaCorp 987 DJ Kimberly Wang, and musician and actor Benjamin Kheng.
