KEY MEASURES
- Buyer’s stamp duty for homes worth over $1 million rises to 4% from 3%
- Carbon tax of $5 per tonne of greenhouse gas emissions from 2019
- Digital services from overseas suppliers, including music and video streaming, to be subject to GST from 2020
- Eligible HDB households to get 1.5 to 3.5 months of rebates for service and conservancy charges
- Enhanced Proximity Housing Grant of $10,000-$30,000 for those who buy a resale flat to live with or within 4km of their parents
- Extra $20 of GST U-Save rebates a year from 2019 to 2021, to offset impact of carbon tax
- Foreign maid levy of $300 a month for the first maid employed without a concession from 2019, up from $265
- GST to go up from 7% to 9%, between 2021 and 2025
- SG Bonus of $100 to $300 for Singaporeans aged 21 and over
- Spread the cost of larger infrastructure projects by saving ahead, and allowing borrowing by statutory boards and government-owned companies
- Tobacco excise duty up 10%
- $1.8 billion Wage Credit Scheme, which co-funds pay rises, extended until 2020
