Overview By means of Steve (“Steve: the art museum social
tagging project,” 2007), a group of American art
museums are taking a folksonomic approach to their
online collections. They allow patrons to supplement the
specialized terminology of the museum professionals
(curators and registrars) in order to represent the general
public viewpoint.
