mTravel is a smart phone application that displays weather, traffic, information of attractions in destination. Moreover, it is used to update information of g2Space and keep real time tracing and communicating with travel group members. With the hybrid position function provided by registered third party service provider, users can easily find the latest location of their group members. Integrated voice messaging function can help sendinginformation to particular member or broadcasting to selected members. This is really convenient for self-organized group travelling. For example, when John and his group members are going to London from different departures,it could be troublesome for them to keep in touch simultaneously with one another in old ways such as phone-call or messaging. However, with the mTravel application launched and accessed to the internet on their smart phones, the application will automatically record their GPS positions and keep updates in the server.Thus all group members can easily locate other members. Communicating via the free voice messaging tool (operation looks like walkie-talkie) via wifi can also reduce the costs of international phone calls.
