Environmental Efforts

Rather than attempting to bulldoze his way through his environmental campaigns, John Muir took the time and effort to persuade people by introducing them to Nature itself. He published several articles and books describing the attractions of the regions and even met up with key personnel to discuss and convince them of the environmental, ecological, societal and economic benefits to preserving the environment.

Because it is only when the individuals themselves are convinced of the cause, then will it be a sustainable and fruitful effort that will carry on for many generations to come.

John Muir, 1912
